The extra space that you had left after filling up with water will of course be filled up by the head gasket sealer then you can top up with water again and finalize by bleeding it with air. You can now replace the top cap, start the car engine and leave it running for about a half hour or even more, all depending on the instructions listed. Once that has been done, drain the water and let the car to dry, which should take about twenty four hours. By this time, the effects of the head gasket sealer should have done the job quite well but as always, you will need to test it so as to verify the results.
